Policeman accused of fatal road crash in Volgograd has partly pled guilty

Alexander Burdenko, an employee of the investigatory division of the MIA, accused of committing a traffic accident in Volgograd, has put part of responsibility on the driver of the second car, which participated in the accident.

Burdenko was put into custody by the court. However, in his opinion, part of the blame for the accident is on the driver of the second car, which at the time of collision was completing its turn. A criminal case was initiated against the policeman under Article 264 of the Russian Criminal Code "Violation of traffic regulations committed by a person in a state of alcoholic intoxication entailing a human death by inadvertency", which is punishable by up to seven years of imprisonment. The term of his arrest is defined up to September 17, the "Life News" reports with reference to the spokesman of the Tsentralny District Court of Volgograd, which had considered the petition of the investigation.
