Magomed Ibragimov kidnapped in Dagestan returns home

As reported by Murtazali Tagirov, the head of the human rights organization "Fighter for Justice", Magomed Ibragimov, a resident of the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, who was kidnapped on July 13 by unidentified men in masks, has returned home.

The kidnapping of Magomed Ibragimov, a resident of the village of Kirovaul and world champion in sambo, was reported by his uncle Magomed Magomedov. According to eyewitnesses, in the morning on July 13 on the bridge of the village of Sulak Magomed "was tied up when in his own car, for no valid reasons."

"Yesterday at about one in the morning Magomed's relatives were called from the Kizilyurt ROVD (District Interior Division), told where Mohammed was and asked to come and take him. According to Magomed, after he was detained, the unidentified kidnappers put a bag over his head and took to some unknown place. He was severely beaten; and when he asked them why they had beaten him, they replied that he knew what for," Murtazali Tagirov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Today, a message about Magomed Ibragimov's liberation has also come to the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot". According to the sender, Magomed Ibragimov was found at the fuelling stations, "he was thrown out in the mountain massive... and (he) reached the federal highway on foot."

According to Ibragimov, his relatives learned that he was violently tortured. "They even used electricity, which is confirmed by burns on fingers and body; traces of severe beatings are seen on the body and legs," says the author of the message.

Magomed's relatives have confirmed to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they had found him near the village of Uchkent, Kumtorkalin District. He was badly beaten and unconscious. Now, according to relatives, Ibragimov is at home.
