In Dagestan, Murad Alibekov's advocate allowed to meet his client

Today, Israfil Gadatov, the lawyer from the "Kavkaz" Bar, was allowed to visit Murad Alibekov, kept at the IVS (temporary detention facility) of Izberbash, who was detained on June 25 on suspicion of killing Abdulla Aliev, the head of the Department of the Russian Pension Fund in the Akusha District. According to the lawyer, Murad Alibekov is in serious condition.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Abdulla Aliev was shot dead on June 25 at about 12:30 a.m. Moscow time in the village of Akusha. Unidentified persons opened fire at time when he was at the entrance to the building of the department. On June 25, at about 2:00 p.m., the persons, suspected of the murder, were captured at the border of the neighbouring Kaitag and Dakhadaevsky Districts. They opened fire on police officers, and in the course of a fire fight, one of them was wounded and detained, and the second, shooting back, fled into the forest.

According to Israfil Gadatov, he was rendered assistance in organizing a meeting with his client by Gasan Aigumov, Chairman of the committee for monitoring observance of human rights at detention facilities under the Public Chamber of Russia.

According to him, Murad Alibekov is in serious condition, he got gunshot wounds to his hand and leg and limb fractures. "He was not provided with proper medical care, and no physician was called to examine Murad. And again, officials of the IVS state that the call of physician is possible only after permission of the investigator," the lawyer says.

However, he stated that the detainee has no claims against law enforcement officers.

Gasan Aigumov has confirmed that the detainee is in serious condition. "Murad are got wound to his limbs; however, he does not present any claims against anyone," Gasan Aigumov said.
