In Krasnodar, 30 persons take part in oppositional "people's festivities"

Today, at 5:00 p.m., in Krasnodar, in the park named after Zhukov, in front of the regional administration building, oppositional "people's festivities" were held. The protest action was attended by 30 civil society activists, including members of the "Yabloko" Party, the "Spravdelivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia) Party, the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), and non-partisan citizens with white ribbons and white balloons.

Let us remind you that today participants of the initiative group "Kuban! Open your eyes!" conducted a flash mob to demand fair election and to support civil protests that had been held in Moscow starting from May 7. Participants of the flash mob began to gather at 5:00 p.m. Moscow time.

"Activists start to draw on pavement with chalks"

During the first hour, the protest action was held peacefully, and its participants were walking down Krasnaya Street and the park and communicating, and then some of them started to paint on the pavement. In total, the flash mob in Krasnodar gathered about 30 participants with white elements of clothing, ribbons and balloons. The number of law enforcement agents and representatives of the administration at the place was approximately the same.

"As soon as we gathered in the park, policemen began to 'go around'. They sat on benches, walked through the pedestrian zone. They were about 20 persons. Other 20-30 officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) were inside a passenger bus, which was taken off its city route and stopped in the vicinities," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was explained by Alexei Mandrigel, the participant of the protest action, the activist of the "Yabloko" Party, who was earlier poured over with water from a street cleansing machine during his "sitting strike" in front of the regional administration building.

According to him, the activists began to draw on the pavement with chalks, and policemen responded to that. Precinct police inspector Kozlikin asked Alexei Mandrigel follow him to a police stationary point, where they completed a protocol on violation of city improvement. The protocol will be reviewed by the administrative commission. Alexei himself wrote that he disagreed with the charge.

On the same day, the parents of Alexei Mandrigel, who reside in the village of Bryukhovetskaya of the Krasnodar Territory, were visited by people, who introduced themselves as staff members of the district administration. According to Alexei, they asked his parents to influence civic activity of their son.
