Astrakhan court dismissed Shein's motion to recuse the judge on the case of annulment of Mayor's election

During the first hearing on the lawsuit of the action for invalidation of the results of election of Mayor of Astrakhan the court dismissed Oleg Shein's motion to recuse the judge.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported that today Shein challenged judge Olga Morozova for the reason of "her partiality". The motion to recuse the judge was entered after Morozova refused to attach to the case the video records made by the observers and members of election committee on the mobile phone cameras on the election day.

It should be mentioned that Shein himself from the very beginning did not expect his motion to recuse the judge to be granted. "Judge Morozova refused to attach the observers' video records to the case. It is no wonder because in 33 polling stations out of 203 the video cameras set by Putin were turned aside and in 16 stations switched off at all. In particular, I mean polling stations No 391, 400, 415, 470, 473 and 515 in which very interesting videos were made", ex-candidate for Mayor's office wrote in his blog.

According to him, Public prosecutor's office supported the plaintiffs. "It is clear that the challenge will be dismissed", the politician concluded.

Today Shein's attorneys also filed a motion to attach the documentation on the polling stations and election committees to the case, including copies of the protocols, pivot tables, voters' registers for the reason that "the information in these documents is out of keeping with the copies of protocols given out to the observers and the data of State Automated System "Vybory" ("Election")".

The court granted most of the demands but refused to attach the voters' registers to the case for they contained personal data protected by law.

The court also temporarily dismissed the motion to attach the videos made by the observers at the polling station suggesting to return to this question already during consideration of the case on the merits and after viewing state videos for every polling station, RIA "Novosti" reports.
