Figurant of case on terror act in Vladikavkaz marketplace sentenced to 16 years

The Supreme Court of North Ossetia has announced the verdict to Suliman Khashagulgov, the defendant in the case of the terror act committed in the central marketplace of Vladikavkaz on September 9, 2010. He was sentenced to 16 years of imprisonment in a high security colony.

The trial of Suliman Khashagulgov began on March 5. The court hearings are held under special order and behind closed doors. The case against Suliman Khashagulgov was sent to the Supreme Court of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania on February 9, 2012.

The Supreme Court of North Ossetia has obliged Suliman Khashagulgov to pay 157,000 roubles as compensation of property damage and 36,000 roubles to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia.

So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has no comments of Khashagulgov or his representatives regarding the sentence.
