A resident of the settlement of Matsalaul, Dagestan, reports her brother's abduction

Rasul Abdulkarimov, resident of Khasavyurt district of Dagestan, was carried away in an unknown direction by armed and camouflaged people, his sister Asiyat Abdulkarimova reported. Officials of District Department of Interior Affairs of Khasavyurt district state that they have no such a detainee.

According to Asiyat Abdulkarimova, about 6:40, March, 1, some armed and camouflaged people and 2 or 3 men wearing civilian attire drove up to their house in military vehicles. She thinks there were 50 or 60 members of the top brass all in all.

"They entered the courtyard. When Rasul's mother came out to meet them she was asked whether there were any outsiders in. She answered that there were none. Our mother explained that there was only her daughter-in-law, her son and their five children", Asiyat Abdulkarimova said to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to Asiyat Abdulkarimova, the officers of unknown power-wielding structures took her mother to examine her by means of special equipment which could find traces of explosives on a person's clothes and hands.

"When Rasul's wife Indira came out the visitors demanded that everyone should come out of the house. When Indira said that her children were sleeping inside the members of the top brass demanded to lead them into one of the rooms. Without producing a search warrant or any other documents the armed people came into the house and ordered to call witnesses. Nothing was found and the witnesses signed a protocol about that. Other rooms were searched. Then the men took Rasul with them explaining that he had to evidence in Khasavyurt District Department of Interior Affairs", the detained man's sister said.

The woman thinks her brother is still there. However, the officials of District Department of Interior Affairs deny the fact of Rasul Abdulkarimov's detention. The personnel of standby unit reported that they had no such a detainee.

Asiyat Abdulkarimova through her attorney Sapiyat Magomedova submitted statements to Public prosecutor's office of Khasavyurt district and Head of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Dagestan asking to "react to unlawful actions of the personnel of Khasavyurt District Department of Interior Affairs and to take measures to make them criminally liable for abuse of authority".
