Action in defence of Article 31 of Constitution held in Astrakhan

Today, in the evening, near the monument to fighters for the victory of Soviet Power in the Bratskiy Garden in Astrakhan, defenders of Article 31 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation have held their action. Despite the cold weather and strong wind, the action was attended not only by permanent participants, but by new people.

The new protesters have learned about the event from the social network "Vkontakte". Every participant received a pin "Strategy-31" and an independent expert's report "Putin: 10 Years' Totals", written by Boris Nemtsov and Vladimir Milov. The police did not interfere with the event.

Boris Khaikin, an activist of the "Strategy-31", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he had been taking part in protests "back from the 1990s." He is not happy with the state policy regarding citizens' rights and freedoms; that is why he always goes out on the 31st day of the month to express his position.
