Issa Khashagulgov's wife complains of ban to see her husband

Pyatimat Khashagulgova, the wife of Issa Khashagulgov, who is suspected of involvement in the terror act committed in Vladikavkaz and is currently kept in SIZO (pre-trial prison), said that she was not allowed to meet her husband.

According to her story, during their last meeting in summer her husband complained of his blurred vision and pains in his kidneys. "My husband looked very bad; he lost a lot of weight. When I asked him whether he had been examined by a doctor, he replied in the negative," Pyatimat Khashagulgova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"After at my request Akhmet Polonkoev, Senator from the Republic of Ingushetia, made a request to the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO), my husband was examined by a doctor, who prescribed drugs and glasses."

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has learnt from Alikhan Dudarov, an assistant of the Senator from Ingushetia, that the GPO had also been request on admission of the lawyer Batyrbek Akhilgov to his client - Issa Khashagulgov.

The lawyer said, referring to the investigator, that Pyatimat Khashagulgova would not be able to meet her husband. "When I told the investigator that the detainee's wife had requested a meeting with her husband, the answer was as follows: 'Let her not hope. "The only thing that the detainee's family can do is to hand over parcels twice a month under a strictly limited list of items. Correspondence is also prohibited," said the lawyer.

So far, the "Caucasian Knot" has failed to get any comments in regards to this information from the investigator.
