A cybercafe for disabled people will be opened in Volgograd

An action "Social Internet is a space for everyone" is starting in Volgograd. A social cybercafe will be opened within the framework of the action on December, 13.

The project "Social Internet is a space for everyone" has a task not only to provide all the disabled people who wish with free internet access but also help them overcome the barriers of social closure.

The cybercafe will work on the base of Center of assistance to social rehabilitation of disabled persons of the Volgograd regional NGO of young invalids "Open World". Regional self-government community "Dobry Dom" ("Good Home") will be a direct participant of the project for this home is its responsibility zone.

"By means of real-time communications with their problem-free peers the disabled young people will learn lessons of self-sufficiency, the basis of work with search engines, social networks, they will get aid in remote learning and search of jobs", "First Volgograd web-site" quotes Svetlana Selezneva, Chairperson of the community "Dobry Dom".

On the same day a studio of audio-visual creativity "Vint" and children's club "Multiashka-dobriashka" (lovely animated cartoons) integrating children of primary school age interested in animation will be opened.

Resident of Volgograd Maria Galkina became leader of the club and studio. She is a prize-winner of the all-Russian forum of children's and young people's screen creativity "Boomerang", multifold winner of all kind of contests, in spite of being first category disabled person, "Rodnoy Dom" media reports.
