Court orders authorities of Shpakov District of Stavropol Territory to open additional 4000 places in kindergartens

The Shpakov District Court of the Stavropol Territory has granted the lawsuit of the Prosecutor's Office for additional places in municipal pre-school educational institutions. This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of the Stavropol Territory. Out of total number of required additional places, 2357 places should be opened the city of Mikhailovsk, the district centre, and 1514 places - in the municipal units of the district. In the Stavropol Territory, a line for a place in a kindergarten includes more than 46,000 persons.

The lawsuit was based on the fact that 3871 children aged under 6 were registered at the Shpakov Municipal District to obtain place at the municipal pre-school educational institutions, and 3013 places were occupied.

The Shpakov District Court considered the civil case at the lawsuit of the District Prosecutor in favour of indefinite number of persons against the Administration of the Shpakov Municipal District, the Council of the Shpakov Municipal District, the Division of Education and obliged them to open 3871 additional place in the municipal pre-school educational institutions in the Shpakov District.

The following deadlines for execution of the court decision were prescribed: to open additional 175 places in the period till December 31, 2011; 1590 places - till December 31, 2012; 2106 places - till December 31, 2013, the statement on the website of the Prosecutor's Office of the Stavropol Territory reports.

Response of the authorities of the Shpakov District on the court decision is still unavailable; however, earlier, the authorities' representatives spoke of possible solution of the problem with lack of kindergartens through opening of additional groups.

The district authorities have agreed with the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory edge financing of a number of additional groups of children. In total, by the end of 2012, the district will open additional nine groups for about 300 children, the newspaper "Stavropolskaya Pravda" reports.
