A district militia officer convicted for forgery by an official in Sochi

Central district court of Sochi acknowledged a district police officer from one of the police departments of the health resort guilty of committing forgery by an official.

Public prosecutor's office of Krasnodar district reports that a criminal case according to part 1, clause 292 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation "forgery by an official by way of entering knowingly fraudulent information into official document in case if these actions were committed in personal or other interests".

According to the investigation, in November, 2010, being a district militia officer of Department No 24, Central district of Sochi, upon his friend's request he manufactured an official document: a reference in his own name signed by himself.

According to the witnesses, knowingly forged data certifying the fact of due notification to a certain S. who was a defendant on a civil case in Central district court of Sochi of necessity of her presence in the courtroom were entered in the document. The plaintiff on the case was the district officer's friend.

"Later the reference was submitted to court and appeared as a legal ground for a decision of considering the case on the merits and holding the session in the defendant's absence", web-site of regional Public prosecutor's office informs.

The court acknowledged the militia officer guilty and imposed a penalty in form of a fine of 20000 rubles forfeiture to the State.
