Foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia meet in Moscow

On June 11 in Moscow during a working meeting, the basic principles of Nagorno-Karabakh settlement were discussed by heads of MFAs (Ministries of Foreign Affairs) of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan Eduard Nalbandyan, Sergei Lavrov and Elmar Mamedyarov respectively.

As reported by the press service of the Armenian MFA, "the meeting managed to bring closer the parties' positions on several key issues related to the basic principles of Karabakh settlement."

The draft document will be discussed at the next tripartite summit to be held in late June this year, the "News-Armenia" reports.

Earlier Alexander Lukashevich, the spokesman of the Russian MFA, stressed that the consultation in the Russian capital were of a "landmark and decisive nature." According to his story, "protracting the process and engaging in both parties' rhetoric is already counterproductive," the ITAR-TASS reports.
