The gunmen deny Dokku Umarov's and his wife's death in Ingushetia

Dokku Umarov, leader of Chechen gunmen, is safe and sound, he could not have been injured during the special operation in Sunzha district of Ingushetia because he was not there at that moment. This is the news from informational resources supporting gunmen. According to them, there is no doubt only about Supyan Abdullaev's death.

According to the gunmen, there is no corroboration of security officials' statement of the death of Dokku Umarov's wife and commander of suicide bombers' brigade "Rijad As-Salikhin" Aslan Butiugaev (Emir Khamzat). A woman killed during the special operation who had been mentioned by members of power ministries has nothing to do with Umarov, the sources report.

They also state that less than 17 gunmen were killed during the special operation. Allegedly 10 dead bodies of gunmen were delivered to the local morgue, a woman among them. At least four of them were killed in Verkhny Alkun and its neighbourhood. There is also no definiteness about security officials' statement that two bodies were strongly defragmented as a result of a bombing, the gunmen's resources report.

It should be mentioned that the information from members of power ministries on the number of the gunmen killed in Ingushetia is still controversial. Soon after the operation National Anti-terrorist Committee reported 17 killed people. Sergey Smirnov, Deputy Director of Federal Security Service mentioned the same figure in his report to President Medvedev, however, according to an official report of Investigative Department of Committee of Inquiry of Russia in Ingushetia whose personnel on the commission of Chief Investigative Headquarters of Investigative Department of Committee of Inquiry of Russia inspected the scene of the operation found "14 bodies of participants of paramilitary groups, a woman among them", "Commersant" reports.

A well-informed source in law enforcement bodies of the republic declared on April, 1, that there were bodies of 14 out of 17 killed gunmen in the morgue of Ingushetia, the remains of the rest three were taken to Moscow for DNA testing as their visual identification was impossible, ITAR-TASS reports.
