Day of Anger, April 12, to be held in three cities of Rostov Region

As announced by Vladislav Ryazantsev, coordinator of the Left-Wing Front, actions on the Day of Anger are scheduled on April 12 in Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog and Shakhty.

"Today, we submitted a notification to the administration of Rostov-on-Don on holding a rally within the Day of Anger. It is planned that it will start at 6:00 p.m. in front of the regional administration," Mr Ryazantsev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent on March 28.

The participants of the Day of Anger are going to bring "black labels" to the regional administration, or anything of black colour as a symbol of citizens' distrust of the policy pursued by the authorities. Also, the organizers ask the protesters to come dressed in black and wearing dark glasses.

According to Mr Ryazantsev, the April Day of Anger will be held under the slogans: "It's time to change the power!", "It's time to change the course!", "No to increase in prices and tariffs!", "Stop destroying science, medicine and education!" "Justice! Democracy! Self-government!"

"The main demands we are going to put forward on the Day of Anger are free elections, and direct election of governors, and magistrate and district judges. We'll also demand that the growth of salaries should go ahead of price growth; while the floor salary should make at least 10,000 roubles. We believe that charges for utility services should not exceed 5 percent of the family income. Also, we demand to solve the problem of 'deceived housing shareholders' and investigate the activities of the former regional governor Vladimir Chub and other members of the 'Chub team'," said Vladislav Ryazantsev.

On April 10-12, actions within the Day of Anger are also scheduled in Moscow, St Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Ufa, Kirov, Perm, Ivanovo, Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Vladivostok and other Russian cities.

The participants of the Day of Anger stand in support of Article 12 of the Constitution, which guarantees the rights of local self-government.
