Flood in Krasnodar kills 11 and injured over 20 persons

Today, heavy rain in the Krasnodar Territory caused overflowing of mountain rivers and led to flooding of 20 settlements. As a result of the flood eleven persons were lost, said Boris Frolov, deputy head of the investigatory division of the city of Tuapse.

"The casualties are six men and five women - all are adults; there are no children among them. The investigatory division holds a check on the fact of their death," said Mr Frolov.

According to the press service of the Southern District Centre of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), in total 26 persons addressed for medical help in the area of flooding in the Krasnodar Territory; five of them were hospitalized. Three more persons are still missing, the "Interfax" reports.
