Picket for citizens' legal equality held in Krasnodar
On October 19, in Heroes Memory Square, public activists of the Krasnodar Region held another picket in defence of Article 19 of the Russian Constitution, which proclaims equality of all before the court and the law.
The two-hour-long picket at the Eternal Flame in intersection of Severnaya and Oktiabrskaya Streets brought together about 50 protesters. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that people - direct or indirect victims of judicial voluntarism and raiders' attacks, deceived housing shareholders - were among the picketers.
The picket also attracted activists of the "White Tape" movement, United Democratic Movement "Solidarity", Society "Memorial", and Parties "Yabloko" and CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation).
Let us note here that similar pickets were held in Krasnodar on August 19 and September 19. The events were authorized by local authorities and passed off without incident. The organizers plan to hold such actions on the 19th day of every month, that is, on the regular basis, similar to the Russian nationwide action "Strategy-31".
