Militia actions on explosions in Kizilyurt district court criticized in Dagestan prosecutor's office

The militia officers failed to carry out the necessary operational investigation on the explosions near the building of Kizilyurt district court, while the criminal case was initiated only upon the interference of the prosecutor's office, states Magomed Dibirov, first deputy prosecutor of Dagestan, to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

For reference, on the night of June 21, an explosion took place in the city of Kizilyurt, Dagestan, near the building of the district court.

"The incident took place on June 21 at three in the morning. Hot on the traces, militia detained Omar Temirkhanov, Kizilyurt prosecutor assistant, and his relative Mukhtar Achabaev, local militia officer. But there were released, and only upon our interference the case was set afloat", reports Dibirov.

At the same time, the interlocutors of the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent expressed their perplexity with the way the information about the incident was presented by certain federal media. "They write that Omarov, head of Gherghebel district Magomed Magomedov, Nabi Temirkhanov, father of one of the detainees and chairman of Kazbek district court, and I were discussing how to drop the case together with the chiefs of the local internal affairs department. After the discussion, we ostensibly decided to initiate a criminal case on the fact of attack by unidentified persons on the district court building. To say the least, the information is not true, it is aimed at discrediting the law enforcement agencies. I have not met these people and had no discussions with them. The investigation of the case is closely monitored by the republic's prosecutor, an objective and comprehensive investigation will be conducted. Apart from criminal case investigation, an agency check is being conducted with regard to Temirkhanov", says Dibirov indignantly.

No comments have been given at the duty unit of Kizilyurt district militia.
