In Dagestan Akhmed Rabadanov countrymen disassociate him from the blasts on Moscow metro

Akhmed Rabadanov, habitant of the Village of Novy Kostek, who was killed on 26 March and who is considered the accomplice of the suicide bombers blown themselves up at Moscow metro stations on 29 March, had nothing to do with this crime, said one of Rabadanov's fellow-villagers to the "Caucasus Knot" correspondent on condition of strict anonymity.

"That day he was in his home village and many people saw him. Akhmed often spoke by phone and there is no problem for the relevant bodies to find out his location at that time", CK's source informed.

According to him, the recent information of Rabadanov being seen in the Moscow-area Odintsovo falls short of reality. '"Akhmed was really at home. Never in his life has he smoked. The media, however, reports that inhabitants of one of houses in Odintsovo identified him when he was smoking on the ground floor", the interlocutor is puzzled by that.

He says the tension is still high in the village. "Everyone stays at home, the parents keep young people out of street fearing for their lives. The siloviki (law enforcement officers) periodically come to check up documents. The contacts with outworld, including those with journalists, cut to a minimum", the anonym reported.

He also said that until now, one of the Magomedalievs' brother Murad, who was kidnapped with his brothers Mukhtar and Magomedrasul by some unknown armed people on 29 April in Kizlyar, is still missing: "The journalists write that he and Magomedzagir Isagadzhiev, kidnapped on 27 April, have come back home, but today nobody knows where they are".

Isa Magomedov, head of Novy Kostek village administration, confirmed these words. "We do not know what has happened to these people. As far as I have been informed, the relatives keep on searching for the kidnapped", he said. He refused to give any other comments and said that only having come to Novy Kostek, one could make sense of it all.
