Press conference devoted to elections in Chechen Republic

"Political stabilization has effect on the economic development of Russia's South," Russian President's Plenipotentiary in the South Federal District Viktor Kazantsev claimed in Rostov-on-Don at the press conference devoted to the elections in the Chechen Republic.

"The Chechen people have removed the question of Akhmad Kadyrov's legitimacy from the agenda, Viktor Kazantsev continued. 87.7% of all the voters came to the elections in the republic after all, and 80.88% of them voted for him. In fact they voted that Chechnya should be a part of Russia. The main task now is to select and place personnel in the republican government."

Political stabilization is on hand. Now investments are needed for the development of the southern region. Active work on the attraction of extra investment resources to Russia's South is conducted today.

While speaking at the press conference, Viktor Kazantsev suggested that the Journalist Association of the Caucasus and Russia's South should be established.
