Residents of Nozhay-Yurt district voted being held at gunpoint
On the day of Chechen presidential elections a situation in the Nozhay-Yurt district settlements were under control of the Russian military. According to assertions of the locals elements were brought practically in all villages of the district. The military demonstrated clearly the situation was under their full control and they were fixing what was happening at the electoral districts. Many residents of the Nozhay-Yurt district said they had gone to polling stations only because they had been afraid of possible repressions from the direction of the Russian military.
