Stavropol: bomb found in children's playground neutralized

Tonight, a bomb in a wooden box was found in a children's playground in a dwelling district of the city of Stavropol. The bomb was neutralized by a robot-sapper.

Let us remind you that also today sappers have neutralized an explosive in North Ossetia; in was detected under a bridge in Vladikavkaz. However, according to the republic's MIA, the blown up substance was not a bomb.

The power of the explosive found today in Stavropol was about 200 grams of trotyl equivalent, as reported by a source in law enforcement bodies of the city.

The "Interfax" reports that the tenants of the adjacent houses, evacuated after detection of the suspicious box, are now coming back home.

"My son told me that there was a bomb in the yard. Well, we thought that children were playing a war. However, just twenty minutes later the yard was full of militiamen and firemen," Olga, a resident of the house, told the "Komsomolskaya Pravda".

According to the edition, the detected bomb had a clockwork device. At the press service of the GUVD for the Stavropol Territory, the edition was told that initial suppositions were that a bomb dummy was found.
