POWs’ parents demand a meeting with Pashinyan
Relatives of the prisoners of war (POWs) and soldiers missed in action during the autumn war in the Nagorno-Karabakh gathered in front of the building of the government and the residence of the President of Armenia. Participants of the protest action near the government building are seeking a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the presence of the media.

After machine gun attack, police strengthen guarding of Karabakh village
The operation mode of police checkpoints near the village of Sarushen has been strengthened after two civilians were shelled from the Azerbaijani side, the Nagorno-Karabakh Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported, promising to notify the peacemakers about the incident.

Karabakh residents commemorate victims of Maraga tragedy
Participants of the action in Stepanakert held on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the massacre of residents of the village of Maraga have called on the international community to assess the actions of Azerbaijani militaries. Former Maraga villagers told that as a result of the conflict escalation in 2020, they again became forced migrants.

Two residents of Azerbaijan detained for violating ban on visiting Karabakh
The residents of Azerbaijan, Zamir Akhmedov and Zamig Farzaliev, have penetrated into the territory of the Fizuli District to collect non-ferrous scrap metals. While trying to escape from law enforcers in a car, the driver ran into a policeman and two militaries, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has informed.

Ombudsman of Armenia calls on CE to help resolve problem of POWs
Officials from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) met relatives of prisoners of war (POWs) and soldiers missed in action during the Karabakh war. However, the MoD’s building remains blocked by protesters. The Ombudsman appealed to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CE) concerning “the immediate return of all prisoners of war detained in Azerbaijan.”

Disruption of POWs' return sparks protests in Yerevan
Relatives of the Armenian prisoners of war (POWs), who on April 8 failed to welcome the return of another group of soldiers from Azerbaijan at the airport, joined the protesters outside the building of the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD).

Azerbaijan hands over remains of a soldier deceased in Nagorno-Karabakh
Azerbaijan has handed over the remains of a soldier to Karabakh rescuers. The number of bodies and remains found has reached 1530, including 27 civilians, the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) for Nagorno-Karabakh reports on Facebook.

Friends tell about basketball player who perished in Karabakh war
The remains of Aram Mkrtchyan, a basketball player of the Armenian national team, who perished in the Karabakh war in the fall of 2020, have been buried in Stepanakert. He had volunteered for the war and perished presumably in the vicinity of Varanda, his friends have reported.

Police prevent protesters from breaking into building of Armenian government
Activists of the "Veto" movement accused the Armenian authorities of the pro-Turkish policy and concealment of information about combat losses and prisoners of war (POWs). Female participants of a rally dedicated to the Motherhood and Beauty Day tried to break into the government building. At least one of the protestors was detained.

The military servicemen, Aliev Punkhan Shaban oglu and Bakhtiyar Ilgaroglu, have been wounded in a mine explosion near the village of Sugovushan while searching for missing soldiers.
