Today, the South-Ossetian Minister of Foreign Affairs has announced that requests from the USA to allow monitoring flights near the borders of South Ossetia and Abkhazia are unfounded. The Minister of South Ossetia agreed with the refusal of the Russian side.

Count of coronavirus victims in Southern Caucasus grows due to Armenia and Azerbaijan
The count of coronavirus infection cases in Southern Caucasus, including the unrecognized republics, reached 10,598. The number of COVID-19 deaths in the region has increased to 133 due to recent four deaths in Armenia and two in Azerbaijan.

In Southern Caucasus, including the unrecognized republics, the number of coronavirus deaths has reached 82. Over the past 24 hours, one person died in Armenia and Georgia each.

Armenia is the leader in the number of deaths of coronavirus patients among the South-Caucasian countries; as of April 23, the count of victims in Armenia reached 49.

By the evening of April 22, the countries of Southern Caucasus, including the unrecognized republics, counted 3417 coronavirus infected patients; 1518 of them are in Azerbaijan, and 1473 – in Armenia.

Russia's statement on Karabakh settlement treated negatively by Armenia
Sergey Lavrov, the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has announced the stages of the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, mentioning the liberation of the areas around the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR). Armenia will never resort to unilateral concessions, Zograb Mnatsakanyan, the head of the Armenian MFA, has stated, in his turn.
