Local officials have met with the participants of the protest action held in central Tskhinvali by relatives and friends of Inal Djabiev, who died during interrogation at the South-Ossetian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), and urged them to leave the central square so as not to freeze. The protesters installed a photo of Djabiev and lit candles in his memory.

The Prosecutor's Office should bring to justice those responsible for the death of Inal Djabiev, regardless of their positions, the MPs have stated.

After a scuffle with the police, the participants of the action in support of Inal Djabiev, who died after interrogation within the case of the attempted murder of the head of the South-Ossetian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), managed to set up an awning to protect them from the rain.

The leader of the republic has also added that he will pay for the repeated forensic examination if the family has financial difficulties and will meet the relatives of Inal Djabiev at any time.

In central Tskhinvali, a protest action demanding to punish those responsible for Inal Djabiev's death continues for the ninth day already. A draft amendment to the Constitution of South Ossetia in terms of the appointment and resignation of the Public Prosecutor General has been prepared, said David Sanakoev, an MP and protesters' supporter.

Three protesters, who spent the night in Tskhinvali, have been detained, said Inal Djabiev's widow. Together with Djabiev's relatives, David Sanakoev, a South-Ossetian MP, is taking part in the action.

About 15 persons continue their action in Tskhinvali, demanding an investigation into the death of Inal Djabiev. His family intends to protest until the perpetrators are punished, Oksana Sotieva, Inal's widow, has stated.

Inal Djabiev's twin brother Atsamaz, whose detention in South Ossetia was reported by his mother, has joined protesters in Tskhinvali after his release.
