  • Protests at Armenian GPO escalate into clashes with police

    The "Movement to Save Fatherland" has demanded to release those detained after Pashinyan's visit to the Syunik Region. More than 50 people were detained, including the head of the Megri community, oppositionists have reported. A clash of law enforcers with supporters of the opposition occurred near the building of the Armenian General Prosecutor's Office (GPO).

  • Pashinyan demands to punish protesters in Syunik Region of Armenia

    At a rally against Nikol Pashinyan, residents of the Syunik Region of Armenia accused the Prime Minister of intending to transfer the Megri corridor to Azerbaijan. The Armenian Prime Minister instructed the law enforcement bodies to find and punish organizers of the protests.

  • Police prevent protesters from breaking into building of Armenian government

    Activists of the "Veto" movement accused the Armenian authorities of the pro-Turkish policy and concealment of information about combat losses and prisoners of war (POWs). Female participants of a rally dedicated to the Motherhood and Beauty Day tried to break into the government building. At least one of the protestors was detained.

  • Opposition decides to unblock avenue in centre of Yerevan

    In Yerevan, the movement “To Save the Motherland” will unblock Bagramyan Avenue to avoid the inconvenience for residents of the Armenian capital. However, they do not intend to stop the street fighting, activists of the movement announce. The tents, which were located on Bagramyan Avenue, will be set up at the entrance to the parliament building, a member of the ARF “Dashnaktsutyun” reported.

  • Claims to 1921 Moscow Treaty unites Armenian opposition

    Two thousand people went out to a rally demanding to invalidate the 1921 treaty signed by RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federal Socialist Republic) and Turkey, which defined Armenia's borders. The continuation of this policy was the transfer of Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan, protesters have stated.
