Georgian President is inclined to reconcile Abkhazians and Osetins with Georgians by power of Georgian army

"The stronger our armed forces are, the more chances we have for the settlement of the Georgian-Abkhazian and Georgian-Osetian conflicts," Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze said on Saturday at the official graduation ceremony of the third Georgian battalion trained within the framework of the Georgian-US military program "Training and Munitions".

However, "Georgia adheres to peaceful settlement of the Abkhazian and Osetian conflicts. The restoration of the country's territorial integrity is the main task of our state and each citizen," Shevardnadze noted.
