Protest rallies in different regions of Georgia

As many as 300 pensioners yesterday held a protest rally in a central Georgian city of Gori demanding the repayment of a pension backlog. They also demanded the local court to start consideration of their lawsuit against the government on repayment of the pension backlog for 1998-99 years.

Pensioners? protest rallies were also held yesterday in a western Georgian city of Zugdidi and the capital city of Tbilisi.

The pensioners, who gathered in front of the State Chancellery, also demanded payment of the pension backlog.

 Mothers of more than two children rallied on in front of the Mayor?s Office in Tbilisi. They demanded from the Tbilisi City Council to pay their allowances.

  • Volgograd blogger detained for insulting Russian militaries
