Mayor of Dagestani Kizilyurt reports death of his nephew in Ukraine

Magomed Magomedov, the mayor of the city of Kizilyurt, has informed about the death of his nephew in the special operation in Ukraine. He also said about his son's participation in the special operation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Akhmed Tamazaev and Chingiz Mirzoev, natives of Dagestan, perished in Ukraine; their parents received Orders of Courage for them. Since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 156 natives of Dagestan have been confirmed as dead there.

"My nephew has perished in Ukraine; and my son is now at the forefront of hostilities. A Fatherland defender is a high burden that not everyone can bear, but fathers and mothers have the hardest time," the "Dagestanskaya Pravda" has quoted Mayor Magomedov as saying.

He announced this information at a meeting of the head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, with families of the Dagestanis who had perished in Ukraine. Mr Melikov expressed his condolences to victims' families.

"There are a lot of heroic guys among Dagestanis. They go for a feat, first of all, because you have raised them that way, because they are real highlanders and love their homeland," Sergey Melikov was quoted as saying by the Telegram channel of the administration of the Dagestani leader.
