Journalists assess reaction of passers-by to pickets in Gadjiev's support

Magomed Magomedov, a deputy editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik" (Draft) outlet, and Magdi Kamalov, the founder of the outlet, who held solo pickets in Makhachkala in support of their colleague Abdulmumin Gadjiev, have noted different reactions of passers-by to their pickets. According to their story, some passers-by supported the picketers, while others tried to ignore them.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Gadjiev's colleagues are regularly holding solo pickets in Makhachkala in support of him, at which they also demand to stop persecuting journalists, and release political prisoners. At June 13 pickets, Gadjiev's colleagues recalled that the journalist was detained three years ago, and called for his release.

According to Magomedov, this time, the reaction of passers-by to the picket was quite active. Among them, there were those who expressed words of gratitude. Mostly local residents reacted, and guests of the city paid little attention to the picketer.

Magdi Kamalov, the founder of the "Chernovik", told about weak reaction from passers-by and drivers of the cars passing by.

According to Kamalov, people from other cities fail to quite understand how to react to solo pickets; and when passing by, they try not to notice the picketer. At the same time, the founder of the "Chernovik" believes that the weak reaction to the pickets may be due to the hot weather.

According to the journalist, car drivers mostly reacted positively, but there were also those who did not support the picket.
