Soldier wounded by mine explosion in Azerbaijan

Aikhan Djamalzade, an Azerbaijani soldier, was hospitalized after a mine explosion in the Kelbadjar District, the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that when mines explode in the territories that came under Azerbaijan's control after the 2020 Karabakh war, people regularly perish and receive wounds. Thus, on April 9, a shepherd was wounded by a mine explosion in the Goranboy District.

On February 14, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) reported that 13,000 hectares of land had been cleared of mines and shells left after the 2020 autumn war in the territories where the hostilities took place.

In the village of Agdjakend in the Kelbadjar District, the accident occurred on April 19, the "haqqin.az" writes. Aikhan Djamalzade was a long-term military serviceman, the APA reports.

Let us remind you that the Kelbadjar District (the Armenian name of Kelbadjar is Karvachar) came under Azerbaijan's control after the war in Karabakh that lasted from September 27 to November 9, 2020.
