Residents of Svetly Yar settlement complain about water absence

Because of an accident, the dwelling settlement of Svetly Yar has no water supply for three days. It stopped in the morning on August 18, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed. He visited Svetly Yar on August 20. There was still no water in the houses; and there was no water in administrative and public institutions; many of them transferred their workers to part-time work.

Sergey Voronin, a worker of the "Caustic" factory, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he lives in an apartment with his wife; they have no children. "It's so hot, but there is no water. There is nothing to flush out the toilet; it's in unsanitary condition. And when they resume water supply, they don't say. All the piping is worn out," Sergey has complained.

Sergey Cherkasov, a pensioner, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that his grandchildren were visiting him, and that the absence of water made life difficult for the family. "We haven't had such a serious accident for a long time. I don't even know what kind of water it is (in a water truck) – technical or drinking one. I take it for the toilet. And there was no drinking water in the store for sale. My son-in-law brought 20 canisters from the city yesterday. My parents live in the neighbouring village; there is no water there either. They also need help," said the pensioner.
