Chechen authorities restrict occupancy rate of mosques and temples to 50 percent

In Chechnya, the coronavirus operative headquarters has decided to limit the occupancy rate of mosques and temples by 50%, provided that parishioners wear masks and present their vaccination certificates, the TASS informs with reference to Rita Termulaeva, the head of “Rospotrebnadzor” branch in Chechnya.

The restrictions were introduced on July 4; the branch has treated this decision as forced one, the "Lenta.ru" writes.

Let us remind you that since July 4, Chechnya has also banned travelling in public transport without medical masks. Also, the mask regime is prescribed for public transport drivers.

Besides, on June 16, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, threatened to impose severe restrictions due to coronavirus. He has stated that authorities will have to take these measures if the vaccination rate in the republic remains low.
