In NCFD, Chechnya leads in number of coronavirus-infected patients

Chechnya with 2894 coronavirus-infected patients came out on top in the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) in terms of the number of active patients. The Stavropol Territory still leads among the NCFD regions both in terms of the daily increase in infections and in the number of new deaths from COVID-19.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 6, Chechnya rose from fourth to second place in the NCFD in terms of the number of active patients infected with coronavirus, while the Stavropol Territory leads in the above statistics. By December 9, in the NCFD, the highest number of active patients – 2799 – was still registered in the Stavropol Territory, while Chechnya with 2679 patients remained in the second place.

By present, the NCFD has registered 13,535 coronavirus-infected patients, while Chechnya, where 2894 people are infected, has become the leader in the NCFD in this indicator. The Stavropol Territory has registered 2773 active patients, Kabardino-Balkaria – 2147, Karachay-Cherkessia – 1546, Dagestan – 1440, Ingushetia – 1397, and North Ossetia – 1338, the website "Stopkoronavirus.rf" reports.

Like earlier, the highest number of new cases of infection – 235 – has been registered in the Stavropol Territory. Dagestan with 152 coronavirus-infected patients ranks second among the regions of the NCFD. In Chechnya, the daily increase in the number of patients infected with coronavirus has reached 143.

Over 24 hours, in the NCFD, 12 people died from COVID-19, including seven in the Stavropol Territory, three – in Dagestan, and two – in Kabardino-Balkaria.
