Entrepreneur retracts his statement on Marvel comics after meeting with Chechen minister

In Kurchaloi, the spokesman for the children's centre called inappropriate the replacement of images of US comic book characters with photographs of Ramzan Kadyrov and "real heroes." At the same time, in a conversation with Akhmed Dudaev, Chechen Minister of Information, the spokesman for the children's centre said that he did not refuse to comply with the Chechen leader's instructions.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ramzan Kadyrov visited Kurchaloi and instructed his subordinates to remove from the walls of the children's play centre the images of characters from US movies and Marvel comics.

Ruslan Sadykov, the spokesman for the children's centre in Kurchaloi, explained that the facility had been built with funds donated by the Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation. According to Ruslan Sadykov, the Ministry of Culture recommended him to replace fictional characters with heroes from national fairy tales and legends.

In their comments left on Instagram, some social network users write that "children should better know real heroes than fictional characters from the West." Other users point to the inappropriateness of images of real people who became heroes in Chechnya on the walls of the children's play centre.
