Six night rioters detained in Yerevan

On the fact of the riots that occurred after the signing of an agreement between Pashinyan, Aliev and Putin, six persons have been detained, including two of them – for beating up the Parliament Speaker, Ararat Mirzoyan. The protest action in front of the parliament building lasted for the whole day; and today, November 11, 17 parties plan to hold a joint rally.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at midnight Moscow time on November 10, an agreement between Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia on the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh came into force. Last night, dozens of Yerevan residents, dissatisfied with the signing of the ceasefire agreement with Azerbaijan, broke into the building of the Armenian government and demanded Nikol Pashinyan's resignation. The protesters also attacked Ararat Mirzoyan, the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament and beat him up.

On the fact of the riots in Yerevan, during which calls were made to seize power and overthrow the constitutional order, a criminal case was initiated, Eduard Agadjanyan, the head of the Prime Minister's Office, said on November 10.

He has added that six people were detained, including the two of them who attacked the Speaker of the Parliament, Ararat Mirzoyan.

The action in front of the government building continued on November 10; its participants demanded that Nikol Pashinyan withdraw the tripartite agreement signed on November 9 by Pashinyan, Aliev and Putin.

On November 10, 17 parties issued a joint statement urging their supporters to come today, on November 11, to a rally at 1:00 p.m. local time. "Unfortunately, yesterday (November 10), the most shameful page of our history was written. A treacherous agreement was signed behind the backs of the soldiers defending the land and statehood at the front with their blood, and behind all of us," the statement reads.
