Detention of Zakaev's relatives preceded by Daudov's threats

Magomed Daudov, the Chairman (Speaker) of the Chechen Parliament, has threatened to punish Akhmed Zakaev, the leader of Chechen separatists, who called himself the channel administrator and condemned the humiliation of Salman Tepsurkaev, who had collaborated with the 1ADAT Telegram Channel.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Zakaev had reported the detention of his sisters, brothers and nephews in Chechnya. He has linked the incident with his statements in support of the 1ADAT Telegram Channel.

The video, in which a naked man is sitting onto a bottle, explaining that he is doing this as punishment for cooperation with the 1ADAT opposition channel, triggered broad resonance in Chechnya.

Pressure is being exerted on all Zakaev's relatives living in Chechnya, the Telegram channel 1ADAT has reported.

"Apparently, they'll film a fake report, in which Zakaev's relatives will disown and denigrate him under the pressure of Kadyrov's lawless people," the channel writes.

In August, Aslan Maskhadov's son, Anzor, who lives in Norway, also claimed pressure on his relatives living in Chechnya. According to his story, Aslan Maskhadov's nephew and comrade-in-arms, Viskhan Khadjimuradov, was forced to speak to a video camera.

In his video appeal, Zakaev has treated the Tepsurkaev's incident as the greatest shame for Chechen authorities.
