Azerbaijan claims shelling of village

Over the past 24 hours, positions of the Azerbaijani Army were shelled for 26 times, including from sniper rifles and machine guns, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

After the escalation of the Karabakh conflict in April 2016, the parties entered into a truce, but it failed to stop their confrontation.

"Within the past 24 hours, units of the Armenian Armed Forces, by using heavy machine guns and sniper rifles, violated the ceasefire in various sections of the frontline for 26 times," the Azerbaijani MoD has reported on its website.

The positions of the Azerbaijani army stationed in the village of Zamanly and on the nameless heights of the Gadabay District came under fire. Shooting was also conducted from the territories that Azerbaijan treats as its occupied ones.
