KBR benefactors raise money to help those in need

The "Kavkaz-Nur" Foundation has arranged a fundraising campaign in social networks in order to buy food for the families in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), who found themselves without money due to the epidemic. Volunteers have faced a large number of requests for help; out of 663 such requests, they managed to satisfy 200 so far. Other businessmen are also rendering large-scale help to local residents.

The "Kavkaz-Nur" Youth Development Foundation has spread over 200 grocery sets among KBR residents, Amina Ponezheva, a volunteer, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Amina Albegonova, another volunteer, said that on May 8, the Foundation intends to distribute 138 more foodstuff parcels among those in need.

It should be noted here that KBR authorities had stated that they received hundreds of calls every day asking for help with foodstuffs, but the distribution of food is carried out only by volunteers and sponsors. Entrepreneurs are trying to help their fellow countrymen, despite a significant decrease in their own incomes.
