Chechen resident surprised by Ramzan Kadyrov's weekly absence in public

Ramzan Kadyrov missed all significant events and did not appear in public at all since the transfer of his powers to Muslim Khuchiev, residents of Chechnya note. Supporters of the leader of Chechnya on Instagram called him on to return "despite the jackals' words."

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 13, Ramzan Kadyrov took a sick leave and appointed Muslim Khuchiev, the chairman of the government, the leader of the republic. One more sick leave does not threaten the political image of the leader of Chechnya, but the new Prime Minister of the Russian Federation may have questions for Ramzan Kadyrov, political analysts note.

43-year-old Ramzan Kadyrov, one of the youngest leaders of Russian regions, suspended his activities because of illness for the third time within 11 months.

In Chechnya, social network users actively discuss the Ramzan Kadyrov's absence, notes Aslan, a local resident.

"Many people consider it strange enough that the information about the temporary transfer of the Ramzan Kadyrov's powers to Muslim Khuchiev coincided with the announcement of the resignation of the Russian government... In addition, Ramzan Kadyrov did not attend the Friday prayer," Aslan said.

The fact that Ramzan Kadyrov missed all the significant recent events is surprising, confirms Khasan, another local resident.
