Azerbaijan registers 23 shelling attacks on front line

The Azerbaijani positions on the border with Armenia and in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled 23 times within 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on January 16, Azerbaijan registered 22 cases of ceasefire violations within 24 hours.

"The units of the Armenian armed forces 23 times violated the ceasefire in various directions of the front within 24 hours," the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its official website today. The fire came both from the side of Armenia and from the territories controlled by the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Azerbaijani MoD reported.

As at 9:41 a.m. Moscow time on today, the Ministries of Defence of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet posted on their official websites any comments on the statement released by the Azerbaijani MoD.
