Azerbaijan claims sniper shelling attacks in conflict zone

The positions of the Azerbaijani troops in the Karabakh conflict zone and in villages on the border with Armenia were shelled 23 times within 24 hours, including from sniper rifles, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reported.

The Azerbaijani positions were shelled in the villages of Kemerli, Ashagy Askipara, Mezem, Gyzylgadjyly, and Bala Jafarli in the Gazakh District, as well as at nameless heights in the Gazakh and Gadabay Districts, the Azerbaijani MoD reports.

The fire came both from the direction of Armenia and from the areas considered by Azerbaijan as its occupied territories, the Azerbaijani MoD reports.
