Motorcade of dozens cars is part of Kadyrov's image

Ramzan Kadyrov has reasons to fear for his life; however, corteges of dozens of cars are also of image value, the analysts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" believe.

The video posted on November 5 in the group "ChP. Chechnya" on the Instagram, shows 15 black cars driving along the highway. "The motorcade of the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov," says the accompanying text.

The large number of escort cars and employees who ensure security of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, is caused by the conditions of his work, Magomed Shamilov, a public figure and a retired officer of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan, believes.

"Ramzan Kadyrov has [many] enemies, and he must be guarded. Everything is provided for by Russian laws," Mr Shamilov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Madina Sageeva, a journalist and the publisher of "Alania24", is inclined to consider Ramzan Kadyrov's motorcade as a shocking element of his image. "Here, we see a mix of our Caucasian love of luxury and bureaucratic love of [the representative class], plus a 'macho guy's' image notable for Ramzan Kadyrov. In the Caucasus, Kadyrov is perceived almost like a pop star; and in this case it is supposed to shock the audience. None of regional heads can afford what Ramzan Kadyrov can," Ms Sageeva told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
