The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on October 8, a video was posted on Instagram reporting that messages on social networks about kidnapping of a child in Kurchaloi became a pretext for an "explanatory conversation" with two local residents in a building of the police department.

In its night news on October 9, the "Grozny" TV Channel showed a seven-minute news story with the public apologies of two local residents who sent through WhatsApp the audio messages about the child allegedly kidnapped in Kurchaloi.

The Chechen residents voiced their public apologies in the presence of the chief of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) Department for the Kurchaloi District and three other law enforcers in uniforms. The authors of the kidnapping reports listened attentively to the explanatory speech delivered by the chief of the MIA's Department and after that they apologized in an interview to the TV Channel.
