Parents of Moslems killed in Kabardino-Balkaria on October 13 are denied documents

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that the Chief Directorate of RF General Prosecutor's Office in SFD has adopted a decision to drop criminal prosecution of the participants in the October 13 events, due to their death. However, the parents of those killed in Kabardino-Balkaria are denied copies of resolutions on dropping the criminal prosecution, on initiation of (or denial to initiate) criminal investigation on their death, and the forensic medical examination reports.

Lawyer Larisa Dorogova thinks that the prosecutor's office contradicts itself when it declares that the parents have not right to get the procedural documents and the personal things of the deceased because they are not parties in the criminal proceedings. At the same time, they are notified on their right to appeal against the adopted decisions. "How can one appeal against a decision the text of which is not handed out and the arguments are not disclosed?"

"The diseased Moslems have not died of a natural cause, they have been killed, therefore, a procedural decision must be taken on these facts, i.e. on the initiation of criminal proceedings or on the denial to initiate one," adds Dorogova.

In connection with the situation, the parents of those killed in Kabardino-Balkaria have applied to court with a complaint against illegitimate actions of the investigation team.

As the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reported earlier, 92 militants had been killed in the course of attack on Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria.
