Volgograd activist demands Putin's resignation

On June 29, Olga Karpukhnova, a resident of Volgograd, held a solo picket, while pointing to a large number of poor people among Russians and urging President Putin to voluntarily leave his post.

From 11:00 to 12:30 a.m. on June 29, Olga stood in the Alley of Heroes in Volgograd with the posters reading: "Putin – to voluntary resignation!" and "The country is rich in poor people", the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

"When I stood with economic demands, people supported me with a bang. But when I went out with demands concerning Putin, elderly people nearly rushed to fight. But in general, young people greeted me," Olga Karpukhnova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to the activist, during her picket, a policeman approached her and asked for the address of her registration.

The "Caucasian Knot" has repeatedly reported about the pickets of the Volgograd activist, Olga Karpukhnova. Thus, on June 8, she held an action in support of the arrested journalist Ivan Golunov. The picketer treated him as a "victim of the regime."
