After Kizlyar conflict, social network users criticize Vasiliev and support Kadyrov

The words of Vladimir Vasiliev, the Dagestan leader, about absence of claims to authorities of Chechnya have triggered criticism of Dagestani social network users. Residents of Chechnya, on the contrary, have supported Ramzan Kadyrov's tough position on the road signposts issue on the Dagestani-Chechen border.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 10, residents of Kizlyar demolished a road signpost reading "Chechen Republic, Shelkovskoy District". On June 11, a spontaneous protest action took place there; and later it became known about the demolition of two more signs installed on the border.

Vasiliev's diplomatic position was severely criticized by Dagestani social network users. Meanwhile, residents of Chechnya spoke about their support of their republic's authorities in the issue of defining borders with Dagestan.

"Kadyrov is doing godly deeds; may Allah give everyone such a leader. Without shedding a single drop of blood, he saved his people," the user madina19536 wrote in the group kadyrov.team on the Instagram.

Earlier, members of the Western Chechen Diaspora, who usually oppose Ramzan Kadyov, indicated that their point of view coincides with the position of the head of Chechnya over the territorial disputes with Ingushetia.

Also, Kizlyar residents stated that they were outraged not by the fact of the Chechen road signs installation, but by the fact that they were installed unexpectedly and without warning.
