Baku protesters condemn violence at detention of journalist in Moscow

A protest action was held in front of the Russian Embassy in Baku. Its participants demanded to punish the law enforcers, who used of violence against the Azerbaijani journalist, Fuad Abbasov, detained in Moscow.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Fuad Abbasov was detained on May 16 in Moscow and accused of violating the immigration legislation. At detention, Abbasov was beaten up, said his advocate. On May 28, Abbasov will be deported to Baku.

On May 22, in front of the Russian Embassy in Baku, a protest rally was held against the detention in Moscow of an Azerbaijani blogger and journalist Fuad Abbasov. The protesters condemned the use of violence against the journalist and demanded to punish the law enforcers, who had used the violence, the "Minval.az" reported on May 22.
