Convict in case of torturing detainees in Ingushetia released on CER

A court in the city of Nizhny Tagil has satisfied the petition on application of the conditional early relief (CER) to Mustafa Tsoroev, convicted within the case of torture at the Ingush Centre for Combating Extremism (CCE, also known as "E" Centre).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Mustafa Tsoroev, the head of the FSB's counterterrorist division for Ingushetia, was sentenced to five years in prison.

Employees of the Ingush "E" Centre were found guilty of a murder, extortion and other crimes. Alikhan Bekov, an operative agent, received the most severe punishment – ten years of strict regime – he was found guilty of murdering the detained Magomed Daliev. At the trial, the defendants rejected all the charges.

Let us remind you that in November 2018, a court in Nalchik released another convict within the case of torture at the Ingush CCE – Magomed Bekov, the head of the division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the Sunzha District of Ingushetia. He was released from his three-year-long prison term for health reasons.
