Participant to conflict in Kabardino-Balkaria accused of attacking law enforcer

A resident of Baksan was accused of throwing a stone at a fighter of the National Guard of Russia during a march near the village of Zayukovo in Kabardino-Balkaria in September 2018.

The criminal case was investigated under the article on "use of violence against a public officer." The defendant faces up to 10 years of imprisonment.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Danil Tishkov, a resident of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), was beaten during the conflict and fined for participating in an unsanctioned rally.

On September 18, 2018, residents of the Kendelen village refused to let participants of the march held in memory of the 310th anniversary of the Kanzhali battle pass through their village. The refusal provoked clashes. According to activists, 120 people were detained.
